    MHS Boys Soccer Wins GBL Title

    With the 3-1 win over Somerville on Oct. 20, the Malden High School boys soccer team won the Greater Boston League title for only the second time in MHS history. Goals were scored by sophomore Joshua Crespo and junior Bruno Da Silva. The last time the boys soccer team won the GBL title was in 2006, making this a great accomplishment for the team. Continuing the undefeated streak, with a guaranteed spot in the state tournament, the team stands in at 14-0-1 and will face off against Wilmington on Oct. 21. The included video is from their game against Lowell on Oct. 8, which resulted in a yet another win for Malden.

    Malden High School Golf Team At The Renaissance Club

    Recently the Malden High School golf team was qualified to go to states, amongst other successful golf teams. The states competition is an event where golf teams from different high schools go against each other and occasionally individual players are chosen to compete. The MHS team worked extremely hard to get there, and deserved the opportunity to compete. On Oct. 20th, 2014, at the Renaissance Club, the MHS players who competed there were senior captains Pier0 Pocobene and Tristar To, along with juniors Brian Batting and Nick Andreucci. Despite their loss, their season was memorable and inspiring.
