Junior Jonathan Dong is currently participating in his third crew season as a varsity rower. He mentioned that there are many new faces on the team with more underclassmen that have joined the team and is excited to help the new rowers and coxswains. Dong accredits the crew team’s coaches, Sarah Jones and Shauna Campbell, for the team’s success, because they are able to get work done efficiently and effectively.
He wants to improve on fundings this year for new equipment since boats are fairly expensive. Dong also hopes to win more races and receive medals this season. During his freshman year Dong won three medals and made many new friends on the crew team that are still on the team today.
