“My dad buys me lots of flowers, because I like flowers a lot. I think it’s his way of telling me he believes in me. He gets them whenever he can, it could be a random Tuesday or it could be Hanukkah. Most of the time they’re motivational flowers, sometimes they’re apology flowers after an argument, some days they’re lilies, some days they’re roses. My favorite flowers are sunflowers. He hasn’t caught on yet but I don’t mind, it reminds me that I have what I have and I am happy. I put them in my room and they remind me to keep going at 3 in the morning in the middle of a research paper. When they start to wilt, I press them and use some as bookmarks. One day I’d like to repay him.” #humansofmaldenhigh
