During the winter time, the Boston Frog Pond freezes, making it the perfect space for ice skating. The park that surrounds the pond holds many activities during the holidays, like Christmas and New Year’s. They also host activities on other days so people can have fun before the pond defrosts. Many people enjoy their day in the Frog Pond because of the several different activities held in the park and the frozen frog pond.
Ice skating is the most popular activity at the Frog Pond. Although you pay for skates to enter the ice rink, it is a fun learning experience for beginners. “I often enjoy going here with my family even though I’m trying to learn how to skate. But, they give out lessons on how to skate as a beginner,” a young woman stated.
While trying to be beginner-friendly, the Frog Pond Campus hosts skating lessons if paid. Scheduled programs cost roughly $200-400 for different age groups, dates, and times. There are also programs that teach Snowplow Sam and Basic Skills, as well as, offer private lessons.
Instead of skating or learning to skate, different activities are scheduled on the website ahead of time. “I’m planning to attend yoga here to give me a good state of mind for the start of my day,” shared one woman. Currently, the Boston Frog Pond is hosting yoga lessons on the ice on both January 19th and January 26th.
Many people, including those with busy schedules, come here to spend their free time having fun with friends and family. Knowing this, people who are in control decided to make a schedule to open up the ice rink. “This helped me create more time with my children since I am terribly busy with work,” a father said.
