Gabriella Ilebode is currently a senior at Malden High School, taking Journalism for the first time. She has lived in Malden her whole life and hopes to pursue a career in creative writing or the English literature field. She loves New York, as she feels the environment and people there make for “great stories”. Extremely passionate about writing, the independent and friendly 17-year-old’s favorite store is Barnes and Nobles; her favorite read, The Hate U Give. Ilebode lives by the motto, “Don’t take time for granted” and is deeply inspired by the phrase, “stand up for what you believe in.” Labeling quarantine as a “reflective time”, Ilebode looks forward to making up for the lost time during the pandemic in her last year of high school.
