Author: Mack Keating
Mack Keating is a returning senior and Editor-in-Chief of The Blue and Gold. For Keating, journalism is a way for him to express himself and his creativity: as both a writer and a copy editor, Keating gets to share his passions and interests, while also improving his editing skills. As a queer writer, Keating would also like to publish more articles that present his perspective as a trans and queer teenager. Other journalism topics he prefers to cover include politics, local events, and opinionated pieces. Outside of writing, Keating is also interesting in activism, volunteering, and outdoor adventures - including, but not limited to, rock climbing, hiking, archery, and camping. Post high school, Keating aspires to work in the fields of law and politics, despite his current job at a rock climbing gym. This year, Keating hopes to explore more topics to cover, and is looking forward to a good year.
